1. How is the CRISP Wireless internet service different?
CRISP Wireless offers a fixed wireless internet service. It is not NBN and it is not a Satellite service.
2. Where is your Support Centre located?
We are super proud to advise that the CRISP Wireless Support Centre is located in Australia.
3. What speed will I get?
Depending on the plan that you select, you will receive the speed that is offered.
4. Will the speeds and service be the same at both ends of the network?
All customers of CRISP Wireless fixed wireless internet service receive the same service, download and upload speeds befitting their plan. There is very little difference to the service delivery at any point in the network.
5. Can I check on my usage?
Yes. Your account details, including your current usage for the month is always available from the Client Login on our home page.
6. Will I be able to use Firefox/Chrome/ Internet Explorer as a browser?
Yes, you can choose whatever browser you want as long as it is compatible with your computer and it’s an operating system. Firefox, Internet Explorer, Chrome and many other browsers can be used with the CRISP Wireless network.
7. Can I use my existing email address?
Yes, you can use your existing email address.
8. Will poor weather affect my reception?
In all our testing, and in other installations where we’ve used this technology, weather does not seem to present a significant problem. However, it is always possible that torrential rain could slow the signal slightly. To maintain a good connection in most circumstances, all that is required is an unobstructed clear line of sight between your receiver and the assigned antenna.
9. What happens when I use all the data in my plan before the end of the month? Will my service be cut off? Is there an extra charge?
If you exceed your data allowance your service will not be cut-off.
It will automatically be shaped to a speed of 10% of your current service. IE: if you are on a 20Mbps Download and 20Mbps upload plan your shape speeds will be 2 Mbps Download and 2Mbps Upload (Mbps = Megabits per second).
There are then 3 options available to you.
Option 1: Continue with the shaped service until the end of your monthly billing cycle and then the service will automatically revert back to your normal plan speeds.
Option 2: Contact CRISP Support by email at [email protected] or via phone on (08) 6809 2100 and purchase an extra data pack.
Option 3: You can select to upgrade your plan to a superior plan.
